to check out!
The Kuiper Belt is an enormous, donut-shaped volume of space in the outer solar system. There are many icy bodies in this region that we broadly refer to as Kuiper Belt Objects (KBOs.) In 1930, Pluto became the first KBO to be discovered.
that's according to NASA, at least.
/kbos is a curated selection of "objects" i find weird, beautiful, interesting, thought-provoking, or just plain fun! on this site, the first object discovered was the site itself:
pluto22. what?
objects can be anything i come across floating around on the internet or irl that i have a strong desire to share. some are old favorites, others new discoveries.
disclaimer: this is essentially a collection of things i like which includes potentially graphic and/or explicit content.
why?
cause i felt like it! cause i wanted to talk about things i like and i figured instead of just writing them down on a list it would be more fun to make something a bit more involved.
when?
i'm not sure when i'll make another one! whenever i feel like it!
who?
currently i, the webmistress of pluto22, am the sole author and curator of /kbos. i would love to potentially feature objects like art and writing from other creatives online in future issues.

"I am a sick man… I am a wicked man. An unattractive man. I think
my liver hurts. However, I don’t know a fig about my sickness, and am
not sure what it is that hurts me. I am not being treated and never have
been, though I respect medicine and doctors. What’s more, I am also
superstitious in the extreme; well, at least enough to respect medicine (I’m sufficiently educated not to be superstitious, but I am.) No, sir, I
refuse to be treated out of wickedness. Now, you will certainly not
be so good as to understand this. Well, sir, but I understand it. I
will not, of course, be able to explain to you who is going to suffer in
this case from my wickedness; I know perfectly well that I will in no
way ”muck things up” for the doctors by not taking their treatment;
I know better than anyone that by all this I am harming only myself
and no one else. But still, if I don’t get treated, it is out of wickedness.
My liver hurts; well, then let it hurt even worse! "

"It is our suffering that brings us together. It is not love. Love does not obey the mind, and turns to hate when forced. The bond that binds us is beyond choice. We are brothers. We are brothers in what we share. In pain, which each of us must suffer alone, in hunger, in poverty, in hope, we know our brotherhood. We know it, because we have had to learn it. We know that there is no help for us but from one another, that no hand will save us if we do not reach out our hand. And the hand that you reach out is empty, as mine is. You have nothing. You possess nothing. You own nothing. You are free. All you have is what you are, and what you give.”

ya que este mundo soberbio
me ha destinado este oficio;

Rajiv Surendra's Youtube channela friend showed me this channel and i completely fell in love with it. Rajiv makes videos about simple ways he beautifies his life and shows you how to romanticize the little things to live with intentionality. whether he's showing off his glassware collection or teaching you how to make your bed, his videos are always cozy and a great reminder to put effort into being alive.
Horoscopes by Alice Sparkly Kati find the voice with which Ace the astrologer writes to be incredibly soothing and grounded in reality. it's comforting being invited and gently encouraged to consider the inherent spirituality of the universe, particularly from the perspective of a queer person of color whose work focuses on community and decolonization.
NY Times Crossword Puzzlei'm sure wordle and the daily mini games are fun as well, but i find it really nice to dedicate a bit more time in the morning to working on a larger puzzle.
